Who is this course for?
This course is for young people and adults aged 19+ with learning disabilities and/or Autism.
What can I expect to Learn?
Each five-week course in the Music and Movement Series is designed to engage participants in creative exploration, self-expression, and movement literacy through the lens of music. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their musical and movement skills while fostering creativity, collaboration, and joy in a supportive learning environment.
How will I learn?
Your tutor will use a number of different teaching methods to develop your skills. These will include a wide range of authentic materials, individual study, working in pairs/group activities and will include the use of video/audio.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will follow your own individual learning plan with progress recorded by tutors and yourself. Feedback will aslo be given to you during the lesson..
Will I need to do extra work at home?
You will be encouraged to use the skills you have learnt in the class at home.
What will I need to provide?
You should bring a file, paper, pen and plastic wallets to the session
Are there any other costs?
Guidance and advice will be given on an individual basis throughout the course. We can also provide information about suitable progression routes.
What can I do next?
You can progress on to other courses. Your tutor will advise as to which is the most suitable.
