Who is this course for?
Young people and adults aged 19+ with learning disabilities and/or Autism who need to improve their confidence and progress into accredited courses.
What can I expect to Learn?
Through exciting activities and games, you will discover new ways to express yourself, build confidence, and promote well-being.
How will I learn?
Your tutor will use a number of different teaching methods to develop your skills. These will include a wide range of authentic materials, individual study, working in pairs/group activities and will include the use of video/audio. You will also have the opportunity to use online learning technologies to develop your skills.
How will I be assessed? How will I know how well I am doing?
You will follow your own individual learning plan with progress recorded by tutors and You will follow an individual learning plan which will track your achievements.
Will I need to do extra work at home?
You are expected to make use of the skills learnt in college at home and out in the community.
What will I need to provide?
You should money for lunch or a drink and wear appropriate clothing.
Are there any other costs?
Occasional funds will be needed for outings or events.
