Who is this course for?
Young people and adults aged 19+ with learning disabilities and/or Autism who enjoy exploring the world around them through sensory experences.
What can I expect to Learn?
Through fun activities and games, we'll engage with textures, sounds, and colors to enhance our sensory experiences. Learners will need to bring their own support worker with them for this course.
How will I learn?
Your tutor will use a number of different teaching methods to develop your skills. These will include a wide range of authentic materials, individual study, working in pairs/group activities and will include the use of video/audio. You will also have the opportunity to use online learning technologies to develop your skills.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will follow an individual learning plan which will track your achievements.
Will I need to do extra work at home?
You are expected to make use of the skills learnt in college at home and out in the community.
What will I need to provide?
You should money for lunch or a drink and wear appropriate clothing.
