This pre-qualification Digital course is designed for people who use a smartphone but feel they're not getting the most out of it. Do you know what all the apps on your phone do? Are you fully using your smartphone to support your everyday life and work? On this course, you'll learn practical digital skills to help you confidently use your smartphone, discover useful applications, and understand how technology can make everyday tasks easier. You'll explore how to use your phone for communication, organisation, online services, and work related activities. These skills will help you become more independent with technology and will also support progression to further learning, training, or employment.

Young people and adults aged 19+ with learning disabilities and/or Autism who need to improve their confidence and progress into accredited courses.
What can I expect to Learn?
Learn practical digital skills to help you confidently use your smartphone, discover useful applications, and understand how technology can make everyday tasks easier. You’ll explore how to use your phone for communication, organisation, online services, and work related activities. These skills will help you become more independent with technology and will also support progression to further learning, training, or employment.
How will I learn?
Your tutor will use a number of different teaching methods to develop your skills. These will include a wide range of authentic materials, individual study, working in pairs/group activities and will include the use of video/audio. You will also have the opportunity to use online learning technologies to develop your skills.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will follow an individual learning plan which will track your achievements.
Will I need to do extra work at home?
You are expected to make use of the skills learnt in college at home and out in the community.
What will I need to provide?
You should money for lunch or a drink and wear appropriate clothing.
Are there any other costs?
Occasional funds will be needed for outings or events.
